The extension of railway track on platform no 1A have almost completed at saharanpur junction. When I asked about the same from the person working there then he said that now the abandoned platform no 1A of saharanpur junction will serve the MEMUs. The step is taken as saharanpur junction is suffering from the shortage of platforms
That's a great step indeed. But still I find that SRE handles the traffic (at least in DOWN direction) in a better way than Moradabad. Most of the time, I have noticed through NTES that DOWN trains arrive and depart right on time but after get somewhat late when reaching Roorkee, Luxar, and Najibabad. Although, sometimes it appears, they have fudged tha data (but not so sure). On the other hand, trains get late in the tunes of 20min to 1 hr to cross the MB station. At times, the trains keep awaiting to depart off PF. It seems apparently the train clearance is poor in MB division.
