A silly question , it has been in mind since ages . But don't know each time i forgot to post it . This time thankfully it hit my mind when i was browsing IRI .
The question is " how is water drained out from rail under bridge if their is heavy rainfall ( say 3-4 days regular rain )" . Isn't RUB will be water logged and cause problem to local people . Generally RUB are shallow so water from near by can come easily and fill RUB passage .

Actually sir the rub is covered with the shed from start to end ...and if done properly ..than no water logging problem will be there ..but as not done properly ...so water collect @ centre of rub and cause prblm to ppl ....
It remains filled with the water. That's why RUB are not considered successful.
In some situations, diesel motors are used to pump out the water to drain
See the pics especially 3rd one /blog/post/1707574 , In heavy rains the water will easily be collected under RUB isn't it ? There is 1000 of RUB like this in allover IR .
