It was revolutionary when in the year 2000-2001, a train was introduced that was supposed to run non stop for 999 km !! Where all other teains took close to 16 hours, this train was supposed to take 3 to 4 hrs less. It could not maintain UTS schedule for most part of the year due to congested route amd other reasons, bt to think of the concept itself was unique. The first of its kind. Led to durontoes later, but the seed was sown by SK
I am sorry. i had traveller in 2003. So was not sure of exact time of inauguration. Thanks for the information
