Actually, if you ask me, the 2100 hrs arrival time isn't great either. This train is regularly delayed and sometimes even reaches Delhi beyond 12[same goes with Neelachal on this route, Nandan Kanan is also delayed, but has a saner scheduled arrival of 1800 hrs]. This problem exacerbates in the winters.
Kya option hai bhai, NDLS hai wo, usse to sabhi sambhalne hain, shtbd, raj, sf, exp, emu, pass. Arr time is not great but if it runs almost on time ( just like last run) then 2100 hrs is also not that much problematic except for people living very far from NDLS. Metro can be availed that time. Every train cannot reach NDLS b/w 0500 hrs to 1900 hrs.
When running on right time, it isn't a problem. But delays are common and during winters, I don't think it is recommended to take it. Agreed, being stranded at NDLS at midnight isn't that bad, but still when you have alternatives available, why choose this[TL;dr-> during summers, choose the SK; during winters, don't choose the SK]
Wohi to baat hai, for working class, RNC - NDLS, if JSK runs on time its best but I will take JSK even in winters too.
Options for SL class is JSJ and MURI exp which is supercrawler, so wont take it. Now 2 options JSJ and JSK, in winters both will run 8 - 10 hrs late, so it means JSJ will arrive ANVT around 2200hrs whereas JSK will reach in morning at around 0500 hrs or 0600 hrs. So I wud prefer JSK rather than being stranded at ANVT in chilly winter night.

Muri Exp isn't an option eitherways. It's too slow and has a drat time of arrival at Delhi too.
