Indian Railways : Smashing overtake and crossing at golden hour!
A simultaneous crossing and an overtake triple action at Chiplun :
After a marathon run from Panvel/Roha, my Goa bound Rajdhani Express gets looped for an unscheduled halt at Chiplun. Five minutes later the Ratnagiri bound passenger enters the loop for its scheduled halt. Just as i thought that we would get a proceed, i saw the Chiplun Railway person cross over and hop into our train with a green flag. On the other hand, the passenger train bound to Dadar too...

did not get a proceed signal. Now i was sure that we were in for another speedy crossing. After a wait of 15 minutes, came a furiously chugging and honking RTM Alco beast with the Deharadun bound Express. It eventually crossed our Goa Rajdhani Express and overtook the Dadar bound passenger . The golden hour really added to the beauty of the speedy crossing.
