As I am novice in IR technical details, just would like to know the reason behind the change in time table during Monsoon? Someone please explain
Speed of trains is restricted so they can't follow their aggressive time-tables.
Is it done only in some specific routes ? If yes why not in other areas ?
Is it due to visibility issues ? or due to slippage or something ?

It is done ONLY on Konkan Railways as the route is prone to landslides and the meteorological department doesn't allow running trains over a certain speed.
