I read in newspaper that Railway starting work on Broad Gauge line from Banmakhni to Bihariganj in bihar which i think there was no need till any new track been identified from Bihariganj to Khagaria. Iske badle Forbesganj se Darbhanga ko full Broad gauge track mein badalte to zayada acha hota. wo route long distance trains ke liye achi rahti aur seemanchal ke logo ko faida hota. Political railway tracks ab nahi ban ni chahiye ho sirf vote lene ke liye banta ho.

if they dont convert this, Bihariganj will be like island... so should be fine. But agree with your point on FBG-- DBG, this much be expedited
Then Bihariganj track should be extended till Khagaria so there will be backup too.
shc-purnia already backup of main KIR-BJU line ... so how many backups needed :-)
Back up for local people its needed.... Khagaria to Bihariganj. It will be another option for BJU - KIR
one survery was done long back for Kursela - saharsa... god only knows what happened to that
