Varanasi aka Kashi is the biggest city of Purvanchal nd is a major centre of Art&Literature, Study , Tourism, and many more things ....its an important junction and revenue earner...loads of foreign passengers visit varanasi but wen it comes to connectivity its poor....other cities like Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabad have xtra ordinary connectivity with National Capital New Delhi. Infact Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabad and Varanasi these are the four pillar cities of Uttar Pradesh as well as to railways also...LKO, CNB, ALD....have trains like Duronto, Rajdhani and S/F trains...Varanasi(BSB) doesnt have a single Duronto ...Rajdhani is once a week and Shiv Ganga is the only good train which is fast and daily ....i was hopeful about BSB-NDLS Duronto ths year but some flop Durontos were announced.....ppl need more trains for new delhi...some trains which run via MIRZAPUR....can be diverted via MGS-BSB-ALD..via jhangai......a Duronto is highly needed as ppl as well as tourists also...

visit ths place all thru the year......connectivity to SOUTH is also poor....specially CHennai ,Hyderabad and Banglore....this year it got two new trains..
1.Varanasi-Ahmedabad Exp
2.Varanasi-Singrauli Exp.........but thr is more passenger pressure than the trains avilable....needed trains shud b announced and not d unnecesary one like NDLS-Ludhiana Shatabdi.......i wud like to get ur comments on this issue
