explorer_yash~ 674 blog postsIndian railways is great. Agreed. (I am also an Indian railfan) But it lacks commonsense at some point. Indian railways is keen on electrifying its rail network as it considers electrification will save cost. I don't know about other trains, but for this train, 12131 dadar shirdi Express, the route is completely electrified end-to-end. Indian railways, electrifying its non-electrified sections, can't even run a train with electric locomotive in a completely electrified section!! They are wasting money on diesel for this particular train!
agreed you point about this train but as of now they are helpless since RSA and LSA with 11001/02 which runs on diesel section. If they have run shirdi exp on with electric loco then diesel loco must be kept at shirdi for pvr exp which is not possible now.
