Train was almost empty and after brief hault moved towards Kurduwadi..

Yes.. route via Kurduwadi - Latur - Bidar is too too long. They should short terminate this train enroute somehwere like Wadi or Gulbarga. Its just wastage of diesel, as only 20-25 passengers in whole train.
As per the entry "Entry# 1992410 " it has been partially cancelled between BIDR - VKB.
Due to heavy rains, there were breaches on track between VKB and SSPD.
Few trains were diverted.
Now track has been restored and TSR of 10kmph is in effect

If bidar gulbarga line was ready it could have been handy this is importance of few new lines
Yeah.. Gulbarga - Bidar line work should complete asap.. It is good alternative route for north to south trains in emergency.
