My colleague purchased the said ticket from Gudur to Howra and vise versa but lost in enroute to the office from the counter (both the tickets were missed ) one between has pnr no as 432-9861791
In the counter they collected Rs 20 and replaced duplicate ticket for the confirmed one. However though the said PNR was blocked, they assured to release the ticket if confirmed on collection of 50% else total amount will be forfeited.
Now the PNR status displays could not fetch. Kindly clarify

He would now have two options to avoid the 50% payment of the basic fare on the 2nd ticket:
1) Tatkal (Would be economical for long distance journey in AC Coaches compared to the 50% payment)
2) Purchase a WL Ticket and apply for EQ Confirmation.
