Hi Friends..!!
How would it be if the time table of trains contain geographic details between stations. Like major river bridges between two stations, ghat sections,etc so that it would be more informative and one will know while he/she travels which river or mountain range is there during their travel. Like the newly introduced crossings of a train with other trains, information like ;
River Tapti between Bhusawal and Duskhera stations.River Chambal bridge between Dholpur and Hetampur stations,River Sone between Dehri-on-Sone and Son Nagar Jn., Budni ghat between Budni and Barkheda,etc...
...
more...
It would be very helpful in scenic route like Konkan Railways.

Moderator Sir had added a similar feature called 'Fan spots' a couple of years ago, where RF's can mark important locations on the Atlas ( RF spots, sceneries, importnat landmarks etc) that would show up in the Atlas route and later on in the train time tables ( only in the Atlas I guess, showing this in the timetable can make it very cluttered) like you suggested. Here is the reference blog: /blog/post/1229597
However, I am unable to find any fan spots through the atlas. I do remember seeing people mark fan spots in their blog posts though.

Good suggestion!
The time table had color coding for tracks at that station at extreme left in second column. But now nothing, just plain. Would be nice if that feature came back.

Suggestions is good..but I believe it can lead to security breach especially for bridges or any other similar structures
