Krishna is punctual till GDR, but I wouldn't recommend for elderly people.
Not aware guess you will come to know about timings while booking online...
Time slots will be provided for standard time window. EX: 24hr booking from 8 am to 8 am. You can get available time slots once you check online.

Gudur is a small town in nellore district,AP.just outside the station the is a lodge (just outside the station while going to old bus stand,the hotel will be in left hand side while you coming towords bus stand).It will be good but not excellent
Or else you can do one thing.,They can go to nellore which is dist hq.Nellore provides you with excellent.While catching GR in gudur.you can come to gudur and board GR.nellore to gudur hardly takes 45 to 60 mins in rtc bus.There will be plenty of buses
