Good Morning.
There are 4 Routes For Jabalpur,Varanasi,Allahabad ,Patna,Darbhanga,Jai nagar and Gaya To Come To South Indian Capital Cities Like Hyderabad,Vijayawada,Chennai,Bengaluru and Tiruvananthapuram. They are:-
The First and Nearest Route is:-
Jabalpur Jn-Nainpur Jn-Balaghat Jn-Gondia Jn-Nagbhir Jn-Balharshah Jn=474 kms.The draw back in This Route is From BPQ-JBP it is Totally Single Line and Diesel Engine Route and From BPQ-G-BTC it is a Broad Gauge Diesel
...
Engine but From BTC-NIR-JBP it is under The process of Gauge Conversion of Meter Gauge to Broad Gauge. After the completion of Gauge Conversion works in between BTC-NIR-JBP sections. This route will be very nearer for HYB,BZA,MAS.SBC and TVC capital cities. It Nearly Reduces 300 kms of a distance when compared with BPQ-SEGM-NGP-NRKR-AMLA-ET-JBP ROUTE =752kms and Time will be Reduced To a great Extent and Ticket cost will be also Reduced.and now BPQ-G Single Line Electrification is almost done. This Route will really Reduce the Load on JBP-ET section and ET-NGP section and NGP-SEGM-BPQ section and G.T Route From ET-BPQ section Traffic will be Reduced and In Future Some of The trains should be re-routed via this Route after Gauge Conversion works.
The Second Route is:-
Jabalpur Jn-Nainpur Jn-Balaghat Jn-Gondia Jn-Nagpur Jn-Sewagram Jn-Balharshah Jn=564 kms.Which is 90kms Longer When Compared to Previous route and In this Route Trains Flow of Traffic is Very High in BPQ-SEGM-NGP section and also Even in NGP-G Route also There is Lot of Trains Flow.
The Third Route is:-
Jabalpur Jn-Nainpur Jn-Chhindwara Jn-Nagpur Jn-Sewagram Jn-Balharshah Jn=607kms.Which is 43kms Longer When Compared to Second Route and 133kms Longer When Compared With first Route. But Again From Nagpur-Chhindwara 147kms It is under the process of Gauge Conversion From Narrow-Broad and Even From Chhindwara-Nainpur 141kms It is also under the process of Gauge Conversion From Metre to Broad and Again From Nainpur-Jabalpur 109kms It is again under the process of Gauge Conversion From Meter to Broad , So In this Route nearly 400kms Railway Track Works are under the process of Gauge Conversion From Metre/Narrow to Broad Gauge.
So I Think Even in Future This Route also May be useful Compared To second Route because This route may not have Traffic From NGP-CWA-NIR-JBP section
The Fourth Route is:-
This Route is Whatever The current Route The Trains are Utilising to go to Varanasi,Allahabad,Gaya,Patna,Lucknow and Darbhanga Coming From Bengaluru,Chennai,Yeshvanatapur,Secunderabad,Ernak ulam.Rameshwaram
This Route is Jabalpur-Etarsi-Amla-Narkher-Nagapur-Sewagram-Balh arshah=752kms which is very long route for all south capital cities pilgrims to goto famous Jyothirlinga Shiva Temple Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Goddess Vishalakshi Devi and Allahabad Shakti Peeth Madaveshvari Devi Temple and This Route has Lot of Trafic Especially From ET-BPQ it is totally G.T Route and Traffic is very high for 507kms and Even in JBP-ET section also Traffic is very High for 245kms.So This Total Route From BPQ-NGP-ET and ET-JBP Route it is too congested and Traffic is very high in all these sections and It is Very Long Route and Time Consumption taken is more.
Now Etarsi-Jabalpur-Katni-Satna-Manikpur-Allahabad Route is Under The process of Doubling With Electrification For a distance of 612kms.
So This Route JBP-ET-AMLA-NRKR-NGP-SEGM-BPQ is 278kms Longer When Compared With the First Route JBP-NIR-BTC-G-BPQ route
and This Route JBP-ET-AMLA-NRKR-NGP-SEGM-BPQ is 188kms Longer When Compared To the Second Route JBP-NIR-BTC-G-NGP-SEGM-BPQ Route
and Even This Route JBP-ET-AMLA-NRKR-NGP-SEGM-BPQ is 145kms When Compared To the Third Route JBP-NIR-CWA-NGP-SEGM-BPQ Route
So I do Prefer the First Route Which is Very Nearest Route For South states People to go on a Pilgrimage to Gaya,Allahabad and Varanasi and Capital Cities Patna and Lucknow.
Some of The Trains Which are at Present Going To Gaya,Varanasi,Patna Coming from Chennai,Rameshwaram,Yeshvantapur should be Diverted via this route BPQ-NAB-G-BTC-NIR-JBP route which will save time and money.
The trains are;-
i)12389/12390 Chennai Egmore-Gaya-Chennai Egmore Weekly SuperFast Express Should be Diverted via BPQ-NAB-G-BTC-NIR-JBP Instead of Running on BPQ-SEGM-NGP-NRKR-AMLA-ET-JBP Route
ii)12539/12540 Lucknow-Yeshvantapur-Lucknow Weekly SuperFast Express Should be Diverted via BPQ-NAB-G-BTC-NIR-JBP Instead of Running on BPQ-SEGM-NGP-NRKR-AMLA-ET-JBP Route
iii)22351/22352 Pataliputra-Yeshvantapur-Pataliputra Weekly SuperFast Express Should be Diverted via BPQ-NAB-G-BTC-NIR-JBP Instead of Running on BPQ-SEGM-NGP-NRKR-AMLA-ET-JBP Route
iv)15119/15120 Varanasi-Rameshwaram-Varanasi Weekly Express Should be Diverted via BPQ-NAB-G-BTC-NIR-JBP Instead of Running on BPQ-SEGM-NGP-NRKR-AMLA-ET-JBP Route. This Train Helps in Connecting two Famous Shiva Jyothirlinga Temples.
and Even in Future also There May be Chance of Laying one Train From Varanasi-Tirupathi via JBP-NIR-BTC-G-NAB-BPQ Shortcut Route and Even Varanasi-Visakhapatnam and Varanasi-Tiruvananthapuram and Varanasi-Hubballi and Varanasi-Mangaluru Express Trains In This Way
Even in Future Our SCR may lay one more Train in this Route JBP-NIR-BTC-G-NAB-BPQ Like Hyderabad-Patna Express Connecting Gondia and Varanasi,Allahabad Pilgrim temples
and Moreover Gondia People Will get a Direct Connectivity with Lucknow and Patna Capital cities
Thankyou

Few corrections-
1. BTC-NIR-JBP is under gauge conversion from Narrow gauge to Broad gauge.
2. ET-JBP-ALD is under Double line Electrification. Only a small patch of SQL-BGTA of 10Km is under Doubling + Electrification.
My views-

ET-BPQ section holds dome important stations like NGP, WR etc IR won divert the traditional trains running via JBP-ET-BPQ.
This route will cater mostly for frieght traffic's plying in the central region.

A diversion to skip Itarsi is quite possible, but I think they will prefer the NGP-G-JBP route than the BPQ-NAB-G-JBP route. NGP has a lot of originating traffic for almost all south bound trains, and the BPQ-G route does not have any major stations with originating traffic. Most probably IR will prefer to run for the extra 90km and go via Nagpur-Gondia- Jabalpur to get maximum patronage.

yes IR shud start or divert some trains thru JBP-BTC-G-BPQ route to give faster connectivity to south bound trains and hopefully by mar 2018 we can see IR stand for running new or existing trains on JBP-BTC-G-BPQ route when this route BGfication will be completed
