Bro B'luru very badly needs better public transport. A new project should be planned with a view on the long term utility. If the long term requirements are not considered at the initial planning stage, the services remain substandard for ever as it becomes very difficult to consider and make alterations in the systems after implementation is over.
As per current norms/practices, Intra city travel is basically a business of Municipal Corp/Development authority of city and business of IR is intercity travel.Today IR is already neck deep in the losses due to suburban, passenger trains and II class express classes.
