Gorakhpur-Anand Vihar Terminal Humsafar Express, the new train service started by Rail Minister Suresh Prabhu, staggers towards its final destination after being delayed by fog by nearly 8 hours.
For the third time, it was hauled by GD WDP-4D #40289, the locomotive that has been hauling it since its inaugural run on 16th December, 2017.
These trains will feature;
1. Side curtains on the corridors like 2AC which were removed from 3-tier AC sleepers.
2. LED screen display to show information about stations, train speed etc and will have announcement system as well.
3. Vending machines for tea, coffee and milk.
4. Charging ports for charging electronic devices such as mobiles, laptops etc.
5. The berths will more comfortable than the previous 3-tier AC sleeper rakes.
6. Bio toilets in compartments.
7. The exterior of coaches will have a futuristic look with the use of Vinyl sheets.
8. Safety measures in compartments such as introduction of smoke alarms and CCTV cameras.
9. If you bring your own food, you can keep it warm or cold as the train has a heating chamber as well as a refrigerating box.
10. Each and every coupa and side birth having curtains to maintain privacy.
11. Providing with new khadi bed rolls.
