SCRailway is going to introduce a weekly express train between HYDERABAD and VASCO-DA-GAMA and TIRUPATY and VASCO- DA- GAMA from the first week of JANUARY.These two trains will run combined between GUNTAKAL and VASCO-DA-GAMA.The slip coaches between HYB and VASCO may be withdrawn in the near future by increasing the frequency of the newly introduced trains between TPTY/HYB-- VASCO to DAILY.In that case ,the CC of HWH--VSG --HWH AMARAVATI EXP can be increased to 24 coaches .Let us hope for the best

Yes ...there is no denying in this fact...the very same amaravati which we are fighting aboutbto make to 24/26 coacher..that's the BZA-VSG train...when GC got done..it was extended to HWH and now the fate of SCR is to settle with a 4 coach slip.
The entire GC was done by SCR and handed over to SWR as part of Hubli division transfer to form SWR...it didn't even got its own dedicated VSG train till now ..not after many many many such requirsta and fights ..they converted the dedicates tpty-mao into two slips to serve both the regions even though its slow..

You won't see for sure...as long as RB won't give importance to this ghat...SWR is least bothered to consider about VSG...because that very own chat section is already being fully utilized ..and day by day its capacity is bring weakned which is forcing RB to decrease the capacity to 20 coaches ..
And regarding the goods traffic and the rake length...as there is no concept of 20 coach goods like a passenger train..they gave specification to run such lengthy goods with lesser loads ..

Do you think SWR can introduce train just like that without approval from RB ? It is RB who dictates terms to every zone depending on many factors..if RB is not interested to lose any goods traffic by intoeucing a passenger train..then why SWR will show interest..
This new train also came after a long and long an dprolonged fight by SCR ..even this was also not intended to go this way..but SCR made it possible with consistent appeals to RB ..
If there is a mechanism to ask RB directly why its allocating SWR money to strengthen these chat sections and introduce new trains ..then some improvement may happen..otherwise ..no point of discussing about this ghat section ...nothing will come out if we fight here...better fight with the RB for same intensity to see things happening in VSG favour ..

But RM says something else only. He says this section is very important for IR that's why track doubling is being put on fast track.
He said it recently when he was in Goa for announcement of Madgaon Kulem track doubling.
If the Ghats are doubled will the same coach and capacity restrictions continue ?

down due to mining ban but loads of an individual rake I don't think so infact coal imports are increasing yearly at MPT almost all of which is being moved by BOXN rakes via the Ghats. And no rakes are filled fully as they were earlier. I don't see any BOXN running with half loaded Wagons. All are filled as they were used to be earlier and in other sections too.
