can any one give me information about how to get refund of railway ticket ? i had 2 ac tatkal ticket from bangalore to solapur n i was not getting my ticket to show to tc , Tc collected total fare charge from me n said u can claim for refund. now how n where should i claim for refund?

1. If it is an eticket, TDR can be filed by passenger himself or thru agent thru whom he had booked the ticket. He will get the 100% refund.
2. If it is PRS ticket and if we presume that 12 hrs already elapsed then he can not file TDR.

He cannot cancel the ticket. He can however file the TDR.

1. Had it been an e-ticket, TTE would have issues EFT by taking Rs 50 and the identity card.
2. For PRS ticket TDR can be filed upto 30 days after date of journey. It can be cancelled over the counter within x number of hours.
