Even Azamgarh in Purvanchal (East UP) did not get any train since 2015 neither originating nor passing...Any special reason for being ignored?
Exactly. In fact one clever thing about not announcing trains, projects and funds for a particular state in the budget itself is that, when you do it in a budget, it catches all the attention as everything has been put together. But if you do it one by one, there is less attention. Hence, following the latter method in UP, Mr Prabhu seems to have achieved both, political goal as well as excuse to criticize previous RMs and their budgets.
Azamgarh was never developed as station having terminal facilities.
