The normal standard is a 5 digit number. But occasionally zones like NR, SER and ER have modified the numbering scheme, adding an extra digit in between, or adding am alphabet suffix. But usually these changes were specific to the particular zone and the 5 digit scheme is the one followed to a large extent.
