How many of my dear friends agree with the fact that it's high time that measures must be taken to 'DE-CONGEST' the overloaded section of CNB-NDLS (via ALJN), by constructing an 'ALTERNATIVE ROUTE' via CNB-Farrukhabad-Kasganj-Atrauli-Khurja-NDLS.
Presently, Kanpur-Kasganj section is SINGLE DIESEL, and could be utilized in future to cater NDLS bound traffic from CNB and vice-versa. It was included in the rail budget of 2012-13 (if I am not wrong), but never acted upon.
KINDLY, support your answer with comments.

I m not sure abt Fatehpur-Dalmau link but the second one has huge potential as it can provide an ALTERNATIVE for both CNB -NDLS nd LKO - NDLS provided that KSJ shud be connected with ALJN...

Secondly, the route u proposed appears to be more useful as it will provide the SPN link nd CNB bound trains can use the route for BE connectivity as well.
But

I have always found IR smwht stingy😑 and the route u proposed requires more land acquisition and construction cost..

But aap choti new line KSJ - krj k against q ho ?
Time zyada le rha hai. Maana. But aise toh lko-mb-ndls zyada time leta hai Dan lko-cnb-ndls inspite of the fact d later is longer.

Bhagwan naa kare, but accidental case mei traffic disrupt nhi hoga n can B diverted.
Also uss line k stations ko Delhi k lie naaya raasta milega jisse development hoga.
.
GC se faida dekho Kannauj / kasganj / bem /FBD jaise jagah ko Delhi, Mumbai, Adi , kol k lie direct connectivity mil gyi hai else they wud have run to catch trains to nearby larger city.

* I'am not against the line friend, I was just analysing the situation from IR point of view.
* Since decision of identifying the saturated routes is taken by IR management, it will like to evaluate the traffic on the route via ALJN after DFC is commissioned.
* It is never advisable to divert CNB-Delhi traffic through longer route, as it will increase both, the logistics cost as well as the transit time, which goes contrary to the very purpose of constructing DFC.

Even after commissioning of DFC, the route via ALJN is saturated, IR may consider diverting some of the traffic via KSG. If the route via KSG have enough traffic of its own then IR may even like to go for its doubling.

Why Atrauli-Khurja?
Why not Kasganj-Dibai-Bulandshehr-Dankaur??
It would give main line connectivity to Bulandshehr as well as Dibai.
