In many long distance trains there are distance restrictions.
Is it that a paasanger has to travel a minimum fixed percentage of distance of total distance being covered by that particular train.
For e.g.:
Kerela express covers almost 2000Kms. Will the passanger get a ticket only when he will travel 10-20% of total distance covered by the train?

No, It is not a percentage but a journey leg/s or a fixed distance which may differ class wise.
In an imaginary train going from A to J (2000 Kms.) via B, C, D, E, F, G, H and I, distance restrictions may be as follows:
Short of 500 (or something else) Kms.
