Though there are technically no local trains between Bengaluru and Tumakuru, local residents prefer using the trains that run between the two cities to go to...
Its really great to know we have railbus. While my college days there was no train to Soladevanahalli however seems route is improving and getting more trains like railbus. This kind of facilities must be increase to sub-urban's like Tumkur and surrounding areas which would definitely help daily passengers.
Even running a 12 coach EMU,Rly incurs loss & has to print on the tkts "IR recovers only 36%cost of travel on avg",Do u think running a RB will be an economical solution for Rlys?
Yes, RB will be economical in long run. People need better and on time services. Running EMU on short route will not be advisable as it would not get sufficient headcount means loss in operational aspect. Meanwhile RB is best solution for shorter route like Yeshwantpur to Nelamangala etc.
