Huge allocation to ECoR, and the best part of it is majority of it is going to profitable Doubling/tripling projects of freight lines which shall further enhance the profitability of ECoR. Most of the new line projects are also financially rewarding (freight lines) ones with notable exception of socially emphasised Khurda Rd- Bolangir project.
There is no allocation of funds for modernisation of verious Rly. stations in Odisha along with New Bhubaneswar station and old Bhubaneswar station building revamp, additional P/Fs etc. (according smart city plan). No information about Jaleswar-Digha Rly. line project. There was requirement of new trains for CSTM & ADI connecting Balasore & Bhadrak.
