Though there are Industrial towns like Duliajan , Naharkatia and Namrup in between but trains fist stop is after 104 km at Simaluguri. Namrup is 40 KM from New Tinsukia. Stoppage at Namrup is possible and only Railway should think over it. This will benefil not only commuters of Namrup but commuters of Naharkatia and Duliajan also. Duliajan is Head Office of OIL India Limited, Namrup is Head Office of BVFCL, Naharkatia has lots of oil wells and is also State assembly Seat.
