As of now express trains may not be feasible as it will also entail change of Engine from Electric to diesel merely for 5 km. Also the pf at CHTS cannot accommodate 20 coaches ....maybe at a later time they can always explore the feasibility of reducing the rush at ERS by diverting trains to CHTS
The Diesel Hauled trains like those of Konkan Route can be sent to CHTS which are at present terminating/starting at ERS/ERN.
