ASANSOL: ER to focus more on Intra-Bengal connectivity.
DRM HWH Dr. R Badrinarayan promised to strengthen railway connectivity in it's home state of West Bengal. Only Howrah and it's suburban stations are well connected while others have no proper direct connectivity. There is no smooth connectivity between South Bengal stations like Kharagpur, Asansol, Purulia, Adra, Medinipur and Bankura with North Bengal ones like Malda Town, Jalpaiguri, Coach-Behar, Siliguri etc. A proposal has been sent to the board to look into the matter.
Special trains will be plying soon between these stations. Reviewing...

Kwae-bwn; msae-vsu also needs special patronage...sdah need to be upgraded so that 12 coach emu possible for all rakes..nh-bdc connectivity also need to be looked into..
