There are 4 daily trains from MAQ to MAS. 5 daily trains from MAQ to TVC. Why not shift one Chennai train and one TVC train to MAJN. TVC and MAS trains have RSA arrangements.SR Shift one set to MAJN. In that slots, one Karnataka train can get in.
Island express belong to SWR. It is running 200 km in SWR & balance 715 kms in SR. So, SWR can tell SR to run this train and divert SBC cape exp via MAQ, SRR, ERN. Distance will increase by 130 kms but SR canl not raise any objections as the train will run 700 km in SR. Also, no parking problem at MAQ. SWR will be happy to do so, as they are serving more in neighbouring zone. MAQ SBC travellers get a train. New connectivity.

Why should it be contentious, there could be new Express/passenger train introduced between mys - SBC as a replacement
I totally agree. Horanadu is an important pilgrim centre and accessibility to the temple is very important.
