Long pending demand for Kerala passengers for a convenient night train has been ignored. Even Coimbatore people demand a train from CBE-SBC.
It is suggested that if the Chalukya Express (1017/1018) is slightly rescheduled to arrive at Yeswantpur by 1930 hours, it can be extended upto Ernakulam via Coimbatore (suggested dep time YPR - 2000 hrs; Salem - 0100 hrs; Erode - 0200 hrs; CBE - 0330; PGT - 0430;TCR - 0530;ERS arrival - 0645 hours). The rake can be cleaned at ERS and again start from ERS by 1845 hours and reach YPR by 0600 hrs in the same route. From thereon, the existing timings of Chalukya express can be retained.

having just one extra rake, you can satisfy 1500 persons per day. Think of savings of money by each and every one of us (you are paying double charge in bus).

Good suggestion. Also, this will provide a link from Kerala/ west TN to northern parts of Karnataka & Western Maharashtra. At present, there is no such link.
Also, a faster straight link from these areas to Mumbai.
