As both of them run back to back one of them should be running as a superfast now..

Nahi main line slow hai GC se. Plus the no of slowdowns tsr and psrs are much more in mainline due to larger no of stations and larger pop enroute.
Add to that the trolling metted out to ER trains by DNR and doodh ka doodh paani ka paani ho jata hai why the train takes such long time.
Fir aap ek M/E ko ek SF ke saath compare kar rhe hai . Donno ki priority alag hai. Aur upar se jo SF GC hokar chalti.
