The earlier Vaishali was a different MG train. The present day BG Vaishali is not related to the old train.
Barauni-Gwalior was not from Katihar. Barauni-Gwalior was originally the Jhansi-Lucknow express, started in 1919. It was gradually extended to Barauni as the Gauge conversion progressed.
the current day Vaishali is a renaming and extension of Jayanti Junta Express of the 70's. THe vaishali mentioned here is a MG train.
