The track works around AJJ for diversion line has not started. Though some sleepers have been stacked, no earthwork has been done. At TMLP side, diversion line has been constructed and electric poles are in place. Nothing else has happened.
Electrification is there till Takkolam. Due to the presence of INS Rajali in right side of the track, it is still a diesel line. The Navy has agreed to give SR a total of 60 crore for the construction of the new line. However they have given only 30 crore. Once the second installment has been made, the new line can constructed
Thats unelectrfied. Electrification ends just after Kallaaru river bridge.
