On this day, exactly a year ago, railways took a very efficient step towards development of Railways in Mumbai... Converting the last remaining DC section to 25kV, 50Hz AC. This not only cherished the people regarding the fact that new advanced Siemens rake will replace them, but also disappointed those who were fans of Old but Strong DC EMU.
The EMU which served Mumbai for 91 years, the EMU which was called lifeline of Mumbai is replaced by Siemens AC-DC EMUs which are more advanced and comfortable.
