Yes, these 1600hp DEMU trains are built in LHB platform, they have stainless steel LHB shell on ICF bogies (wheel sets) with air spring suspension.

Actually, when we say DEMU (Diesel Electric Multiple Unit), many people get confused with the term "Diesel Electric", actually Diesel Electric is the transmission, not the traction it is denoting :-)

Diesel se Generator chalta hai, Generator se Electricity produce hota hai usse Traction motors ko power milta hai isliye DEMU naam hai. BTW Pneumatic suspension to ICF Sub-urban EMU rakes me bhi saalo se hai.
