and Gujarat were always ignored in 10 years of UPA rule be it in electrification or even in doubling.When UPA left the office only Delhi to Jaipur was doubled,with that too Bandikui and Alwar stretch of 67 kms left for future doubling,which is done only now.
Due to that stretch Delhi to Jaipur was never electrified.
Ajmer to Ahmedabad was never doubled, which have good amount of traffic in that route, if line is doubled and electrified more trains will be introduced in future. For future electrification Railways have stopped the production of WAP 4.
And yes for freight, Freight Corridor is working don't worry. In modern world Electrification is necessary. Remember,Electrification is necessary only in those areas.
Which have dense traffic.
This is because more diesel engines, more the population and more the wastage of fuel.
