Are there any scope of originating a long distance train from Durgapur
No!! I don't think any train would originate/terminate from DGR specially Long Distance trains!!
Very difficult indeed. HWH and ASN ke closeness hi issue hai. Besides exceprt for Rajdhani sabhi halting trains ka GNWL quota hai so availability is not an issue. Plus ASN-HWH connectivity is fab so koi need bhi nahi
Becoz of close proximity of DGR to ASN which is the HQ of the div to which DGR belongs, DGR has neglible chances of getting a originating train. If some train is even introduced from DGR due to some political influence, it will surely get a extension to kolkata on one side or ASN on the other in the nxt 1 or 2 years just like the KOAA JSME PASS which was earlier started between KOAA and CRJ. U can only expect some MEMUs plying from DGR.
