Even when Kerala's repeated demands for new trains fail to yield any result, the Railways has cut down six train services in the Palakkad division.

The railways could have re looked at the time of some of the special trains running between Palakkad & Pollachi. Also some of the express trains running in this route, stops at Kollengode, Pudunagram could have been provided for people to have better access and patronisation.
Knowingly railway give inconvenient timings and finally will end up in loss, they will not be ready to listen passengers suggestion/opinions.
In case of kannur byndoor passenger the timings of the train was the sole reason for its loss. Starting the train at 4am will not fetch much passengers. If it would have started at a time between 5 and 6 more passengers will use this train. The unwanted 30 min halt at kasargod to and fro should be refuced and that time should be devoted for the train to run via manglore central instead of directly entering manglore junction as the daily commuters wish to get down at central. The train's running time between manglore and byndoor should be reduced and need to be extended to bhatkal. These are very possible steps railway can easily take.
