Is Patliputra to Barauni fully double line or is it sinlge line.

Two days back 15484 Sikkim Mahananda express departed from MGS way behind 12506 North East express but still reached NJP ahead of NE.
Only few trains should have been diverted via PPTA rather than diverting a whole group of trains.
