psanga_sur^~ 5601 blog postsIn yesterday's meeting with Solapur MP Mr. Sharad Bansode at DRM office, it is decided that SUR Division will be sending proposal of Solapur - Pune - Solapur new Intercity Express due to increased demand in this route.
It is brought to notice that rake of 22139/40 is idle at Solapur for whole day. So CR is decided to use that rake for running day time Intercity between Solapur and Pune with Kurduwadi, Jeur & Daund hault.
Timings of this train likely to be reverse of 12169/70 in both directions. ...

Solapur is not a small town. It's a major district place in Maharashta and one of the division of CR. Visit it once.
Solapur is an entrance to South India, all major trains towards South passing through Solapur only.
Apart from one slip coach following trains originate from Solapur.
