You are right Sir but nowadays rules for some Superfasts are changing . All trains to stop at all important stations is going passe . Since a particular place has many good trains already stopping over there , IR makes some new trains (SFs) skip it . These are one of the time saving tactics applied by IR :)

Sealdah Rajdhani does not stop at ALD as Howrah Rajdhani does (Earlier even HWH Raj used to skip ALD) .
Sealdah - Amritsar Jallianwalabagh Exp also skips ALD .
Durontos even skip ALD , they don't want it as Technical Halt also (CNB & MGS hai na) .
Orissa...
