Tenkasi station BG line has been started more than 10 years back. Till now we are having only SF train to Chennai and three passengers for Madurai and 4 passengers for Tirunellveli. This station to be connected various stations like Tiruchendur, Kanyakumai, Rameshwaam, Karaikkudi, Trichy, Pondy, Bangalore , Tirupathi , Coimbatore, Tanjore etc. dailybasis. Bi weekly or thrice to be introduced to Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, New Delhi, Ahmedabad etc so that southern dists of TN will be connected to north. In and around Tenkasi so many villages and towns are there and most of them working and doing business in North India. Hence Tenkasi and Sencottah to be connected to various stations. Now double line to ready upto Madurai. Alternate route is also ready via VIrudhunagar , Manamadurai etc and Trichy-Tanjore etc. Hope SR will think and implement the same. Hope Sencottah to quilon is also...
going to be ready shortly.
