ECoR branch(under SER) at that time was under political pressure. To show premiumness run on paper it decided to bypass halts. That time Anara-Rukni bypass was under construction. Only available direct routes were TATA(A)-PRR(D)-BKSC(spl, D) or TATA(A)-MURI(E, jpt)-BKSC(spl, D). If went via PRR, it had to halt at two stations PRR and BKSC, so it was routed via MURI to reduce a halt.
