* Location of Alwar is at a disadvantage in this regard, as it is just 150kms south of the Mega city of Delhi. and 150kms north of State capital & Zonal HQ-i.e. Jaipur.
* Large number of ADI/JU/South bound long distance trains originate from Delhi and serve the city of Alwar.
* Many North bound trains originate from Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer, ADI & further destinations which serve Alwar.

Alwar is not a large enough city to warrant introduction of long distance trains after a large number of long distance trains pass through it.
* However Alwar can be originating train fro many short distance fast DMUs services for Jaipur & Delhi to serve the people of Alwar and the adjoining areas.
