I really dont know. The SBC MAJN section was open only a few years back. before the YPR Hassan new line was open, it took a longer route via ASK. So most of the people prefer the bus. But I defenitely believe that a Shatabdi from SBC to MAJN would get a very good patronage
There is an issue with line. Freight takes a priority over passenger trains. New trains, I think, cannot be introduced.
There is a contract with HMRDC which says a cap on the number of passenger trains between sakleshpur and Subramanya road till 2032. Check this blog: /blog/post/287811/7
