The Trip Diary is now fully activated within the site. Here's how the complete cycle works.
1. Register your PNR for the Trip Diary.
2. You will now see your upcoming trip on the Home Page (see pic). Please note that the trip schedule shows the complete list intermediate stations with approximate passing time - not just the stations where the train stops.
3.

On the day of your journey, Trip Live-Logging gets activated.
4. Members are able to log their trips in the following ways:
a. Automatic gps-based logging for members with a compatible browser and smartphone. You will automatically get the train's position - number of kms from the nearest intermediate station. Train delay status gets automatically calculated, and you can see projected times at all future stations (including intermediate stations).
b. Manual logging is possible with any phone and browser. You can directly enter the station name that the train just passed. Once again, the delay status and projected train position will automatically be calculated.
5. You can post blogs and pics, and interact with other members directly from within the Trip Diary.
6. For the rest of the (non-travelling) members, Trip Diary alerts are now displayed. Clicking on this will take us to the most recent Trip update. Within the Trip Diary, the rest of the members can interact with the traveller.
Soon coming:
a. Living Atlas, showing a live display of all trains in which our members are travelling.
b. Living Atlas showing a listing of travelling members.
c. Direct mobile device integration of the Trip Diary, as a dedicated app.
Many more changes are expected to be introduced, based on how this feature is used. Thanks.

Some more enhancements have now been made to the Trip Diary. Only the main stopping stations are now shown by default, to keep the station list small and compact. These stopping stations get highlighted when the mouse is passed over them, and on clicking, they expand to reveal the next set of intermediate stations. The intermediate stations can thus be seen on demand. (see pic). Once expanded, a repeat clicking of the station opens up a box allowing the user to log an entry.
The same Expansion enhancement has also been implemented to the main Train TimeTable tab and Train Route tab. Intermediate stations can be seen on demand by clicking on any stopping station.
