Doubling works going on from HPT to TNG as a part of HPT VSG doubling and overall 65 percent is completed as per SWR website. But it is yet to commence in TNG VSG stretch where the main bottlenecks lie. Actually MAO QLM was expected to be started from this year but some people here in Goa have the mindset of opposing any development work they are still longing the Portuguese days they feel Goa is Goa and not India they oppose any kind of Government projects. They say their ancestral homes are shaking and vibrating by the movement of trains on the present single track and they even say Goa is more than enough served by one single track. They don't want new trains, they don't want Goa to be connected with other parts of India. They think Goans are kings and rest India is inferior. So it's both SWR...
