Why there is a techical stop at igatpuri? is it because of AC/DC loco change? if it is so then now there are locos which run both on AC and DC still then why this stop?
Igatpuri is technical stop for two reasons:
1. Bankers that get deattached after it connected at Kasara
2. Crew and loco change
Igatpuri is already on AC line

WCAM Locos run on both AC & DC but they don't go beyond Igatpuri because they are not allowed to go much far away from their shed areas . It's so as because if they travel beyond IGP & they break down in far away AC Territory , then other loco sheds & their divisions don't have the facilities & spare parts to repair these Dual Traction Locos .
