I think this train can be Extended to either of the stations Kanpur/BSB/MGS/ALD as it would facilitate passengers from Himachal (Manali,Shimla) to get an alternate to Patna/Howrah from tha aboce mentioned destinations.
The train 2311/2312 is real Fill-Up train in season time and it will be toughest to get reservations confirmed in any classes with Huge WL's.

the train should be named as varanasi chandigarh express.should be run via sln it will be very helpful for the people of varanasi+sultanpur+lucknow passengers to move on towards chandigarh....from allahabad there are two trains and from varanasi there is one so the train can be fulll utilised by the passengers there are many local passengers who travell from varanasi+sultanpur to lucknow,bareily,moradabad,saharanpur.

The importance of local people if extended to BSB can't be ignored at all.But this must take the Shortest route to BSB from LKO (Jaunpur,Sultanpur,Nihalgarh).
The interest of Farthest passengers are also important as well.
If it is Extended to BSB, people can divert from MGS to Patna/NJP/Bhagalpur/Dhanbad/Howrah/Kharagpur easily by any other connecting train.
