more... early departure from Mumbai LTT and as such many passengers especially those from Western Suburbs & South Mumbai find it to board Double Decker. Also Boarding from Mumbai LTT is a tedious task in the mornings. Days of service are also odd.
b. The demand in the route is usually in the night time with Buses running full and raking revenues while this Double Decker runs will low patronage.
c. Back to Back departure with 22119/20 Tejas Express & 12051/52 Madgaon Jan Shatabdi Express dissuades passengers from opting for this Double Decker.
d. Moreover, the rake lies idle at Madgaon pit line for entire night when interestingly there is no service available till Vasco Da Gama which is just 30 kms away despite too much potential/ demand. Hence recommended extension till Vasco Da Gama.
PROPOSED CHANGES

Halts: Thane, Panvel, Roha or Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavli, Kudal, Sawantwadi, Thivim, Karmali & Madgaon.
Have redrawn the Time Table of 11085/86 Mumbai LTT Madgaon Double Decker Express and run timings have been allotted considering full Overnight connectivity between Mumbai and Goa like that of Bus Operators, rather it will give a tough fight to Bus operations and rake in revenue for IR.
It will accordingly be called as "UDAY OVERNIGHT SUPER EXPRESS"
There is no requirement of creating a separate slot as it will share slot with 12741/42 Patna Vasco Da Gama Express between Panvel & Vasco Da Gama which at present runs weekly.
Primary maintenance will be done at Mumbai LTT. As per proposed TT, rake will remain idle at Vasco Da Gama from Saturday Morning to Sunday Evening (Days of operation suggested above for maximum patronage) which can be utilized to run a weekly service between Vasco Da Gama & Mangalore Central / Kozhikode.
