Pure LHB rake is going to be deployed on this train. The new rake has FIAT bogies and the Rajdhani livery. The rake is parked at Rajendra Nagar coaching yard. The Maximum permissible speed for this rake as certified by RDSO is 130 kmph which is same as the Rajdhanis. Surely, it is going to be speeded up soon with the LHB rakes.

an Indian express passenger train service, which runs between Patna and New Delhi.
The service began running on February 16, 2002, and is one of the fastest train services in India, traversing the 999km distance in under fourteen and half hours.
The train makes only two stops between Patna and New Delhi: at Kanpur Central and Mughalsarai covering the distance of 998 km in thirteen hours and thirty five minutes, and for technical reasons takes about an hour longer on the journey from Patna to New Delhi. The train is hauled by powerful WAP4 Engine. It is one of the longest trains in India along with Prayagraj Express and Karnataka Express. In peak seasons two bogies are attached to ease the extreme rush during the period making it of twenty six bogies. It is among the top-priority trains in indian-railways."
